Tedeschi’s visit to Marshfield highlights support for public safety, law enforcement

MARSHFIELD – Peter Tedeschi, former President and CEO of Tedeschi Food Shops and candidate to represent the 9th Congressional District of Massachusetts, began his “Focused on Our Future” rolling rally today in Marshfield, where he spoke on public safety and his support for our law enforcement.

In his remarks, Peter Tedeschi touched on the loss of two police officers in 2018.

“I believe that the number one priority of any elected official is to keep us safe. The South Shore and Cape have been rocked by violence against our first responders in 2018.

I extend my sympathy to the families of Sgt. Sean Gannon and Sgt. Michael Chesna, whose lives ended tragically too soon, protecting our communities. My sincere gratitude goes out to all of our men and women in uniform for running towards danger on behalf of each of our families.”

Tedeschi went on to criticize Congressman Keating for a vote taken in July on resolution backing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“At a time when law enforcement needs the support of our elected officials, Congressman Bill Keating is taking a pass. Congressman Keating had the opportunity in Congress to vote in support of our Federal law enforcement. He took that opportunity to vote ‘present.’”

Tedeschi will be making a total of five stops throughout the 9h District today.
