PEMBROKE – Today, the Tedeschi for Congress campaign reached out to both Democrats facing off in the primary for U.S. Congress in the 9th Congressional District to ask them to commit to five public debates with Peter Tedeschi leading up to the election on November 6, 2018.
Democrat Bill Cimbrelo and Democrat Congressman Bill Keating each received the same note from the Tedeschi campaign, which read,
“I ask you, as the potential nominee for the Democratic Party, to commit to debate me publicly five times, one in each region of our District, before the general election for the 9th Congressional seat on November 6. I believe strongly in my platform and qualifications for the office, and live debates will give the voters the best opportunity to understand how we differ and make an informed decision on who to support.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Peter D. Tedeschi”
There is currently only one debate scheduled between Tedeschi and Congressman Keating. The debate will take place on Saturday, October 13 at The Cape Cinema, moderated by the League of Women Voters and hosted by the Cape Cod Times.
